Obligation and additional practical work

The different training courses offered are composed of theoretical classes and internships, but also practical works and obligations directly linked with the equestrian farm. The goal is to learn to the students the reality of the job: the horse needs us on a daily basis, rainy or sunny, sometimes night and day. The students learn the professional movements, the daily organization of the stable and the different treatments. They learn how to work with horses, with technical tools, detect sick animals and heal them. They also have to anticipate the future needs of the stable, check food and water, fences, cleaning and so on.

In Genech, the students have the possibility to take several exams (5 different levels) in partnership with the French Federation of Horse-riding. The equestrian farm team organize various challenges for the students but also for external people.
