The training

Diplôme d’État de Niveau 3, délivré par le Ministère de l’Agriculture et de la Souveraineté Alimentaire. Enregistré au RNCP en date du 01/01/2024, sous le numéro 38389.

Objectives

Assurer les soins quotidiens aux équidés et veiller à leur bien-être.
Connaître le cheval, son comportement et son fonctionnement.
Entretenir les installations et le matériel équestre.
Participer au travail des chevaux et mettre en pratique les techniques professionnelles.
Consolider les acquis scolaires et développer ses compétences professionnelles.
Gagner en confiance en soi, développer son autonomie et son ouverture d’esprit.
Apprendre à travailler en équipe, dans le respect des autres, en développant l’écoute et la communication.

Teaching resources and methods

Centre équestre sur site : 45 chevaux, 2 manèges, 1 carrière, 1 terrain de cross, 1 écurie active et des paddocks.
Équipement numérique individuel pour chaque apprenant.
Visites d’entreprises, d’exploitations et de salons, et interventions de professionnels.
Pédagogie active basée sur les projets thématiques, les travaux de groupe et les mises en pratique.
Séjour d’intégration autour d’un projet pédagogique.
Groupes de soutien pour l’aide méthodologique et suivi individuel sous forme de tutorat.
Ateliers de fabrication et projets concrets : objets décoratifs, mini-entreprise…
Préparation à la conduite d’engins.
Une place importante accordée aux travaux pratiques, représentant environ 50 % du temps de formation, pour développer les savoir-faire professionnels.
Une équipe pédagogique à l’écoute, qui accompagne les élèves dans leur progression, leur évolution personnelle et professionnelle, et favorise la confiance en soi et la responsabilisation.

Further study

The training course leads to a Level 4 qualification (Bac Pro, BP, Level 3 AE, etc.) in equine professions, enabling students to acquire the skills necessary to work with horses and progress within the equestrian sector.

Les deux années de CAPa peuvent également conduire à une poursuite d'études vers un Baccalauréat Professionnel, par la voie scolaire ou par la voie de l'apprentissage. Cette possibilité dépend de la motivation et du niveau scolaire de l'élève.

Target audience

School

The Certificate of Professional Competence in Agriculture (CAPa) is aimed at pupils from 3rd, of Year 3 SEGPA or from an ULIS class, wishing to enter the professional world at the end of their training or acquire an initial qualification enabling them to continue their training after secondary school.

APPRENTISSAGE/FORMATION CONTINUE

The training course is open to anyone up to 29 years of age inclusive.

Prerequisite

To take the training course, the candidate must:

Être issu d’une classe de 3e (générale, SEGPA ou autre parcours).
Pour les CAP en 1 an (FA/FC) : être titulaire d’un diplôme de niveau 3 minimum ou d’un diplôme supérieur.
Montrer un intérêt pour le cheval et son environnement.
Être motivé par les activités pratiques et le travail manuel.
Maîtriser les savoirs de base : comprendre et parler le français, lire, écrire et compter.
Disposer d’un état de santé compatible avec la pratique du métier, notamment au niveau du dos.

La préinscription peut se faire dès le mois de novembre, lors d'un rendez-vous avec le Directeur du Collège. Ce temps d'échange permet de préciser les informations reçues, de compléter le dossier administratif et de s'inscrire au stage de découverte.

Assessment methods

School

Two types of assessment determine the awarding of the qualification:

On the one hand, and for the most part, a continuous assessment scheme (CCF), organised within the school
Furthermore, a final assessment focusing on professional practice, which marks the end of the course

APPRENTISSAGE/FORMATION CONTINUE

The skills acquired during the training are grouped into Capitalisable Units (UCs):

Each unit of certification (UC) must be validated at the training centre during the year through specific assessments
A course unit may comprise several assessments
All course units must be passed to obtain the qualification
Validity: each UC is valid for 5 years, allowing recognition of the skills acquired over this period
